Dr. Kaplan graduated from University of Florida in 1998 with a bachelors of science majoring in zoology. He then attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where he graduated in 2003. Thereafter, he received his Podiatric surgical training at The Mount Sinai Hospital, at which time he became Chief Resident. He joined Family Footcare Group in 2006.
